- Is the Plaza Premium Lounge at Heathrow T4 Worth the Hype?
Is the Plaza Premium Lounge at Heathrow T4 Worth the Hype? (and How to Access Lounges Worldwide for £24!) : Plaza Premium Lounge Review Terminal 4 London Heathrow By flight expert and chief airport lounge tester Mr Plane Guy For anyone passing through Heathrow's Terminal 4, there’s no better way to relax than stopping by the Plaza Premium Lounge. Located next to Gate 10 on Level 2, this lounge offers an escape from the usual airport busyness or did it? Well thanks to my priority pass I only paid £24 to get in, so this was amazing value and worth it! First Impressions: Contemporary lounge but Crowded Right from check-in, you’ll notice that the Plaza Premium Lounge is a hot spot. The friendly staff makes the check-in process so easy, no queues here and you’ll be relaxing within minutes. Once inside, it was clear that I wasn’t the only one who’d thought of escaping the crowds, as nearly every seat was taken. People were sharing tables, and the buffet area reminded me of the M25 at rush hour! The lounge has a limited capacity, so it could definitely use more space to accommodate the high demand as London Heathrow is one of the worlds busiest airports. Still, I found a cozy corner after a bit of patient seat-watching and settled in for a comfortable break from the terminal chaos. Priority Pass- Exclusive Offer! Exclusive Offer : I was kindly given a 30% off code for a Priority Pass! Get it now before the final boarding call! See what I did there? Priority Pass is the world's largest independent airport VIP lounge access program, with over 1,400+ lounges in over 600 cities across 148 countries! From just £69 for an annual pass. The lovely people from priority Pass have offered me a 30% discount code making it just £48! Be quick this won't last long!! Use my link below. Take a look here ( I get a tiny kickback BTW, thank you for the support ) A subscription grants access to Priority Pass's extensive global airport lounge network What’s Included in Plaza Premium Lounge Heathrow Terminal 4? The Plaza Premium Lounge at Terminal 4 comes fully stocked with all the essentials to make your wait more enjoyable. Here’s a quick rundown of what you’ll find: Food and Drink : A buffet with a mix of casseroles, rice, roast potatoes, two different soup options, a salad bar, cheeses, sandwiches, and cakes for a sweet treat. There’s also a self-serve beer tap, plus wine and spirits, along with soft drinks and coffee machines. Comfort and Connectivity: The seating options are varied, from comfy chairs to functional workspaces, unfortunately when I visited it was a case of grab which seat you could. The lounge is well-equipped with charging stations for all your devices, so you can stay connected and powered up. Ambience and Decor: The decor is modern and light, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a view of the runway, which is a dream for aviation enthusiasts like moi. The lounge also has separate male and female prayer rooms for private spiritual reflection, and shower facilities Which Lounge is Better in Heathrow Terminal 4? Just two lounges at Heathrow’s Terminal 4, the Plaza Premium Lounge stands out for its attentive service, well-curated food and drink selection, and its stylish decor. The other option is Blush Lounge by Plaza Premium Group, this looks like an even smaller lounge! My favourite lounge at Heathrow has to be Virgin Atlantics Clubhouse in terminal 3. Have you tried it? How Early Should I Get to Heathrow Terminal 4? For international flights, Heathrow recommends arriving about 3 hours in advance. If you’re planning to visit the lounge, it’s a good idea to give yourself a little extra time to enjoy the amenities without feeling rushed. The Plaza Premium Lounge is open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m . A relaxed hour or so in the lounge before your gate is announced can make your trip all the more enjoyable. You can also pay for a 5 hour visit, perfect for a layover for the day, you can also freshen up with a shower. Is There a Dress Code for the Plaza Premium Lounge? The Plaza Premium Lounge doesn’t enforce a strict dress code, but they do ask for smart-casual attire, so leave the beachwear and pyjamas at home. The general rule is to dress comfortably but respectfully, keeping in mind that the lounge is a shared space with a mix of travellers. Food & Drink Selection: Variety to Satisfy All Tastes When it comes to food, the Plaza Premium Lounge does not disappoint. The buffet has a great range, with options for both hearty meals and light snacks. treat yourself to some comforting casserole and rice, I went for some lighter options a small salad, cheese and little sandwhiches. The cakes by the coffee machine made for a nice finish, and I couldn’t help but pour myself a quick pint from the self-serve beer tap, cheers to the small perks of lounge life! How much does it cost to access Plaza Premium Lounge London Heathrow Terminal 4? The adult price is £42.73 for 2 hours access, you can also pay £64.80 for up to 5 hours. £30 for children ( children under 2 are free) Travel Tip: Worldwide Lounge Access for Just £24 with Priority Pass One of the best parts about traveling often is having lounge access and you can get that access worldwide for just £24 per visit with Priority Pass! - The Ultimate Guide to 24 hours in Rome: Everything You Need to Know
The Ultimate Guide to 24 hours in Rome: Everything You Need to Know By Travel Content Creator Mr Plane Guy Ah, Rome! The Eternal City, where ancient history and vibrant culture collide. If you find yourself with just 24 hours to explore this magnificent city, don’t worry! I’ve got you covered with a compact yet fulfilling itinerary that hits all the highlights. Let’s dive in, starting from the moment you land at the airport. Getting to Rome from the Airport First things first—getting to Rome. If you’re flying into Fiumicino Airport (FCO) , you have a few convenient options to reach the city centre: Train : The Leonardo Express is a non-stop train that runs every 30 minutes and takes about 32 minutes to reach Termini Station. It’s comfortable and a great way to start your Roman adventure. Bus : Several bus services operate between the airport and central Rome, such as the SitBus and Terravision . This option is usually cheaper than the train but may take longer depending on traffic. Taxi : A fixed fare of around €48 takes you from Fiumicino to central Rome. Just be sure to grab an official taxi from the designated ranks outside the terminal. Ride-Sharing : Services like Uber are available, though you might find taxis more straightforward in the city. Flying out of Rome Fiumicino? Check out this Airport Lounge Review of the Plaza Premium and check out my amazing offer to use it for just £24! Grazie! Morning: Coffee and Ancient Wonders Once you’ve arrived and checked into your accommodation (or stashed your bags if you’re staying elsewhere), kick off your day with a classic Italian breakfast. Grab a cappuccino and a cornetto (a delicious pastry not a croissant!!!) at a local café. Caffè Sant’Eustachio near the Pantheon is a fantastic spot, known for its rich coffee. After fueling up, it’s time to dive into history. Start at the Colosseum . Arrive early to avoid long lines—book your tickets online in advance! Marvel at the ancient amphitheater and imagine the gladiatorial battles that once took place here. Just a short walk away is the Roman Forum . Take your time wandering through the ruins, soaking up the atmosphere of this once-bustling heart of the Roman Empire. Midday: Lunch and a Stroll By now, you’ll have worked up an appetite. Head to Trastevere , a charming neighborhood with narrow streets and vibrant local life. Stop by Pizzeria da Baffetto for some of the best pizza in town. The thin crust and fresh ingredients are a must-try! After lunch, take a leisurely stroll around Trastevere. Visit the beautiful Santa Maria in Trastevere , one of the oldest churches in Rome, known for its stunning mosaics. Afternoon: Art and Architecture Next, make your way to the Vatican City . Start at St. Peter’s Basilica . Climbing to the dome rewards you with breathtaking views of the city. The grandeur of the basilica itself is worth the visit, with its stunning art and architecture. If you have time, don’t miss the Vatican Museums . You’ll see an incredible collection of art, including the famous Sistine Chapel . Again, booking tickets in advance is wise to avoid lengthy waits. Evening: Dinner and Nighttime Magic As evening falls, return to the city centre. For dinner, try Trattoria Da Enzo in Trastevere for authentic Roman dishes like Cacio e Pepe or Saltimbocca alla Romana . The cozy atmosphere and traditional recipes will make your meal memorable. After dinner, head to the Trevi Fountain . It’s beautifully illuminated at night, creating a magical ambiance. Don’t forget to toss a coin over your shoulder into the fountain—this age-old tradition ensures your return to Rome! Nightcap: Gelato and Views To cap off your whirlwind day, grab some gelato from Gelateria Della Palma . With dozens of flavors, it’s a sweet way to end your Roman adventure. If you’re still up for it, take a stroll to the Spanish Steps . The view from the top is stunning at night and provides a perfect spot to reflect on your day in this remarkable city. Final Tips Stay Hydrated : Rome can be warm, so drink plenty of water. Look for the public water fountains scattered throughout the city. Dress Comfortably : You’ll be doing a lot of walking, so wear comfy shoes! Local Etiquette : Remember to say “Grazie” and “Prego” when interacting with locals. And there you have it! A whirlwind 24-hour itinerary that packs in some of Rome's best experiences. Even with limited time, you can soak up the beauty, history, and flavors of this incredible city.
