How do I get to Kasbah Oulad Othmane?
The nearest airport is Ouarzazate Airport, I pre arranged with the hotel for a taxi to collect me. This was 500 Dirham around £40 but was a good 2 hour journey! Can you imagine this in the UK ? "that's £450 please."
How to get to Kasbah Oulad Othman from Ourrzazate Airport
Check out transfers with Get Your Guide, I find them so reliable and I love the app how you can keep all your bookings organised and easily check information.
You may want to consider hiring a car, Morocco is a great destination for a road trip! This hotel would have been a great stop between Ouarzazte and Zagora.

The Room
Really quite basic, not a lot of air, my window was looking into a pantry at one point there was 3-4 children looking in on me! LOL
The Best Bits at Kasbah Oulad Othman
The people that work here were so friendly and accommodating, they really make the effort to engage with you and make you feel at home! Truly wonderful service they make you feel so welcome! If you want a real authentic moroccan experience then this is it!
Bad Bits at Kasbah Oulad Othman
Well this is an authentic rustic experience, no air conditioning so it will be stifling inside the kasbah! Also I found there was a lot of bugs to contend with, no mosquitos but lots of flies and I did see a cockroach. If I'm honest I didn't get much sleep, but more than I did sleeping in a tent in the desert the next night!
Things to do at Kasbah Oulad Othman
Theres literally nothing around the hotel, you can take a walk in the palm grove opposite, or go to the cafe next door, thats it really. I headed to Zagora the next day for a night in a luxury desert camp with quad biking and camel trekking. I will add a link to all about it here (coming soon)
Summary, so what was it like staying at Kasbah Oulad Othmane
I absolutely loved my stay here! It was an experience I wont forget!! It was quite a journey to get there and a great stop before hitting the desert! Considering just a few hours away from London Stansted but literally a million miles away. Thats what I love about Morocco it is so different to European culture it feels like you should have taken a 14 hour flight!
The kasbah has a charm that money can't buy, well you can sort of via booking.com
its a truly unique experience and I am a true spoilt princess thats used to 4 star minimum and air conditioning and fabulous buffet breakfasts, you are made to feel so welcome here!

Flights to Morocco
Trip.com have some amazing fares at the moment to Morocco, do have a look and grab a bargain.
I flew from London Stansted to Ouarzazte with Ryanair. Ryanair currently only fly there twice a week Tuesdays and Saturdays.
I was able to fly back into Paris and a quick connecting flight to the UK with Vueling for less than £50! But you might want to consider flying in or out of Marakech or Agadir which offer so much choice and great value fares.

Travel Essentials
For Morocco, don't forget lots of linen and scarfs, especially if your heading to the desert. Get yourself a snazzy money belt, Morocco is very much cash based, even some hotels required payment in cash!
You also need a Europen adaptor and don't pick one up at the airport for £30!!!
Don't forget to get yourself a digital eSim before jetting off to Morocco, I was even able to use mine in the middle of the Sahara desert! No joke!
