Priority Pass Lounges UK
If you've ever walked past an airport lounge wondering whether you're missing out, you're certainly not alone.
For years, I assumed airport lounges were reserved for First Class passengers, airline elite members or business travellers with enormous expense accounts.
Thankfully, that's no longer true.
Today, Priority Pass gives everyday travellers access to hundreds of airport lounges across the UK and more than 1,900 airport lounges and travel experiences worldwide. Whether you're flying on Ryanair, easyJet, British Airways or Emirates, you can often start your journey with complimentary food, drinks, Wi-Fi and a much quieter place to relax before boarding.
Over the last few years, I've personally visited and reviewed airport lounges across Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Amsterdam, Milan, Rome and beyond. Some have become places I actively arrive early to enjoy. Others... I'd happily skip next time.
This guide brings everything together in one place.
I'll explain how Priority Pass works, whether it's worth the money, how to avoid one of the biggest mistakes travellers make, and which UK airports currently offer Priority Pass lounges.

Quick Answer: Is Priority Pass Worth It?
For most people...
Yes.
If you normally buy breakfast, coffee and perhaps a drink before your flight, you'll often spend £25–£40 without thinking about it.
For many travellers, Priority Pass can represent excellent value, depending on the membership you choose and how often you fly.
Most participating lounges include:
Complimentary hot and cold food
Alcoholic and soft drinks
Tea and coffee
Wi-Fi
Charging points
Comfortable seating
Flight information screens
A quieter environment away from the departure gates
Better still, you don't need to be flying Business Class.
My Favourite Priority Pass Lounges
After visiting lounges throughout the UK and Europe, these are currently my personal favourites.
Aspire Lounge Liverpool Airport
One of the UK's biggest surprises.
Modern interiors, genuinely friendly staff and consistently good food make this one of the strongest regional lounges I've visited.
No1 Lounge Heathrow Terminal 2
If I'm flying from Heathrow Terminal 2, this is usually my first choice.
Excellent food, plenty of seating and a genuinely premium atmosphere make it one of the best Priority Pass lounges in London.
Suite by Aspire Newcastle Airport
One of the newest lounges I've visited and probably one of the most stylish.
It feels much more like a boutique hotel than an airport lounge.
Aspire Lounge Amsterdam Schiphol
My favourite Priority Pass lounge outside the UK.
Quiet, comfortable and a much nicer experience than I expected.

If you only remember one thing from this guide, make it this. Download the Priority Pass app before every trip. I honestly don't understand why more people don't.
It takes less than a minute to install and immediately gives you access to:

The ability to pre-book selected lounges
That last point is the one many travellers completely miss. Some airport lounges now allow you to reserve your place before you even arrive at the airport.
I nearly always check the app the day before I travel. It takes seconds and can save a lot of disappointment during busy school holidays and peak travel periods.
It's probably the best airport lounge tip I can give you.
London Heathrow has one of the best selections of Priority Pass lounges in the UK, spread across multiple terminals.

Heathrow Terminal 2
Terminal 2 is home to one of my favourite airport lounges in the UK.
No1 Lounge Heathrow Terminal 2 ⭐ Recommended
This is currently my favourite Priority Pass lounge at Heathrow.
Expect comfortable seating, quality buffet food, complimentary drinks and an atmosphere that genuinely feels relaxing before a flight.
If you're flying from Terminal 2, I'd recommend this lounge before anywhere else.
Heathrow Terminal 3
Priority Pass currently offers several choices in Terminal 3, making it one of the best terminals for lounge access.

…you can often save a surprising amount compared to last-minute fares.
Yes who can remember to book at least 30 days in advance? But if you don't the ticket price jumps to £26 per person each way! Oh you will set a reminder now?

Although British Airways dominates Terminal 5, Priority Pass members still have two excellent options.

London Gatwick has one of the strongest Priority Pass selections anywhere in the UK.
Whether you're flying from the North or South Terminal, you'll usually have several lounges to choose from.

I've been particularly impressed by Clubrooms, which offers fantastic table service dining and has become one of my favourite Gatwick lounges.
The Aspire Lounge is another reliable option, especially if you're looking for somewhere comfortable to escape the busy departure gates before your flight.

Plane Tip: Don't automatically choose the first lounge you see available. Some airports have four or five Priority Pass lounges, and the experience can vary enormously.
I've had outstanding meals in one lounge while another, just a few minutes away, was overcrowded with very limited food.
That's exactly why I recommend checking my individual lounge reviews before booking.
Priority Pass Lounges Manchester Airport
Manchester Airport has become one of my favourite UK airports for lounge hopping. With Terminal 2 undergoing a huge transformation, there are now several excellent Priority Pass options depending on the type of experience you're looking for.

One of Manchester's newest lounges, The Executive offers a more premium experience than the standard Escape Lounges with improved dining, stylish interiors and a quieter atmosphere.

A reliable all-rounder offering hot food, drinks and plenty of seating.
Perfect if you're simply looking to escape the busy departure gates before your flight.

Priority Pass Lounges Liverpool Airport
Liverpool is home to one of the biggest surprises in the Priority Pass network.
Aspire Lounge Liverpool ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I honestly wasn't expecting much.
Instead, I found one of my favourite regional airport lounges anywhere in the UK.
The décor is modern, the staff were genuinely welcoming and the food was considerably better than I'd expected.
If you're flying from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, I'd highly recommend arriving early enough to enjoy it.
Priority Pass Lounges Newcastle Airport
Suite by Aspire ⭐ Recommended
This has quickly become one of my favourite airport lounges.
Rather than feeling like a traditional airport lounge, it feels much closer to a boutique hotel.
The cocktails were excellent, the food was among the best I've had in any UK airport lounge and the service really stood out.
It's exactly the sort of lounge that makes you want to arrive at the airport early.

Birmingham has one of the strongest regional Priority Pass offerings in the UK.

Priority Pass Lounges London Luton Airport
If you're flying from Luton, Priority Pass members currently have two lounges to choose from.

No1 Lounge
A more premium experience with improved food, drinks and a calmer atmosphere.
Priority Pass Lounges London Stansted Airport
Now Stansted is going through a multi million pound redevelopment. Therefore the previous Escape Lounge has now closed, now they do have a temporary lounge at Pier 1, however this is just for airlines that depart from pier 1, so not Ryanair or easyJet!
Priority Pass Lounges Bristol Airport
Priority Pass members currently have access to the Escape Lounge at Bristol Airport.
It's another airport on my review list, and I'll update this guide once I've visited.
Priority Pass Lounges Cardiff Airport
Cardiff Airport currently offers the Executive Lounge for Priority Pass members.
If you're flying from Wales, it's well worth considering before your flight.

Edinburgh continues to expand its premium offering.

Leeds Bradford currently offers the Yorkshire Lounge for Priority Pass members.
Priority Pass Lounges Exeter Airport
Priority Pass members can access the Executive Lounge before departure.
A handy option if you're flying from the South West.

One airport I'm particularly excited about is London City Airport.
Aspire has announced plans to open a brand-new airport lounge there, bringing Priority Pass access to one of London's most convenient airports for the first time.

My Favourite International Priority Pass Lounges
Although this guide focuses on UK airport lounges, one of the biggest benefits of Priority Pass is that your membership travels with you.

A modern lounge with excellent food, comfortable seating and one of the best Priority Pass experiences at Schiphol.

Simple, stylish and a very pleasant place to spend an hour before departure.

One of the best ways to use Priority Pass if you're connecting through Hamad International Airport.
International Airport Lounge Reviews
The UK is only half the story. Thanks to Priority Pass, I've been able to visit airport lounges across Europe and beyond. Here are some of the international lounges I've reviewed along the way.
Is Priority Pass Worth It?
This is probably the question I'm asked more than any other.
My answer?
For most travellers, yes.
Think about your average airport visit.
A coffee.
A bacon roll or breakfast.
A bottle of water.
Maybe a beer or glass of wine before boarding.
You've easily spent £25–£35 before you've even left the terminal. Now compare that with spending a little more for an airport lounge that includes unlimited food and drinks, comfortable seating, Wi-Fi, charging points and a much quieter place to relax before your flight.
For me, it's rarely just about the food. It's about starting your holiday feeling relaxed rather than fighting for a seat near Gate 42 while balancing an overpriced coffee on your suitcase.
If you travel two or three times a year, I'd seriously consider Priority Pass.
If you travel more regularly, I think it becomes one of the best travel memberships available.
My Biggest Priority Pass Mistake (So You Don't Make It)
Over the years I've learnt one lesson the hard way.
Don't assume you can simply walk into every lounge. During school holidays, bank holidays and busy weekends, some lounges reach capacity.
Priority Pass members may have to wait, or in some cases, entry may be temporarily unavailable if the lounge is full.
That's why I always recommend downloading the Priority Pass app before travelling.
If your chosen lounge offers pre-booking, reserve it.
It takes less than a minute and gives you one less thing to worry about on the day of travel.
It's become part of my travel routine, right alongside online check-in.
Do Priority Pass Lounges Have Free Food?
Yes.
Almost every Priority Pass lounge includes complimentary food and drinks.
Exactly what's available depends on the lounge.
Some offer continental breakfasts, pastries and coffee.
Others provide full hot breakfasts, buffet lunches, evening meals, desserts, premium spirits, beer, wine and even champagne. One reason I write detailed lounge reviews is because not every lounge offers the same experience. Marketing photos can make every lounge look fantastic. Real life can be very different.
That's why I always recommend reading a recent review before you book.
Can You Take Guests Into A Priority Pass Lounge?
Usually, yes.
Most Priority Pass memberships allow you to bring guests for an additional visit fee, while some premium memberships include complimentary guest visits.
Always check the terms of your own membership before travelling so there are no surprises at reception.
Is There A Priority Pass Lounge Finder?
Yes.
The easiest way to find participating lounges is through the Priority Pass website or the Priority Pass app.
Simply search by airport and you'll be able to see:

Priority Pass has genuinely changed the way I travel. Not because every lounge is luxurious.
They're not.
Some are average. Some are excellent. A few are genuinely worth arriving at the airport early for. What I love most is having somewhere comfortable to sit, enjoy a proper meal, charge my phone, answer a few emails and escape the crowds before a flight.
