Qatar Airways QSuites is regularly ranked as one of the BEST business class experiences in the world. Most people assume flying Qatar Airways QSuites costs £4,000+.
But with Avios?
You can sometimes fly the EXACT same seat for closer to premium economy prices.
Private suites, sliding doors, lie-flat beds, restaurant-style dining.
And on some aircraft… even double beds in the middle seats. Honestly? It’s closer to first class than most business class products.
The problem?
Cash fares can easily cost:

sometimes MUCH more
But using Avios, you can sometimes fly the EXACT same Qatar Airways QSuite experience for far less than you might expect.

That means if you already collect:

Avios can now be transferred between:
British Airways Club
Qatar Airways Privilege Club

That flexibility has made Qatar Airways reward flights MUCH easier to book over the last few years.
Why People Use Avios for Qatar Airways Flights
Qatar Airways often releases more business class reward availability directly through Qatar Airways Privilege Club.
That means flights which appear unavailable elsewhere can suddenly appear when searching with Qatar Airways Avios.
And unlike some airlines…
Qatar Airways often avoids adding the huge surcharges that can make reward bookings feel pointless.

How Many Avios Do You Need for QSuites?
Typical Qatar Airways QSuites redemption rates can look roughly like this:
Europe to Doha: around 70,000 Avios
US to Doha: around 70,000 Avios
US to Maldives: around 85,000 Avios
US to Bangkok: around 95,000 Avios
US to Auckland: around 120,000 Avios
Availability changes constantly, of course.
But compared to paying £4,000+ cash for business class?
The value can become VERY impressive.
Can You REALLY Fly QSuites for Around £1,000?
Potentially, yes.
Qatar Airways regularly runs Avios sales where you can buy Avios with large bonus offers attached.
The current promotion runs until 25 May 2026 and offers up to a 65% bonus when purchasing Avios.
That means you can potentially buy enough Avios for certain QSuites redemptions for roughly:
£750–£1,000 depending on route and exchange rates
And because Qatar Airways often keeps taxes and fees relatively low on reward bookings…
…the final price can still end up dramatically cheaper than paying cash.
Even once this current sale finishes, Qatar Airways frequently runs similar Avios promotions throughout the year.
But Is Buying Avios ACTUALLY Worth It?
Here’s the Plane Honest answer.
Sometimes yes. Sometimes absolutely not. Buying Avios only really makes sense if:
you’ve already found reward availability
you know what route you want
the maths beats paying cash
or you only need a small top-up
I would NEVER recommend panic-buying huge amounts of Avios with no plan.
Airlines can:
change redemption pricing
reduce availability
devalue loyalty programmes
And sometimes cash sales can still be better value. But if you’ve found:

or another expensive long-haul business class redemption

My Personal Opinion on Qatar Airways Avios
Qatar Airways Privilege Club has become MUCH more useful since switching fully to Avios.
The ability to:
transfer Avios freely
access better QSuite availability
avoid huge surcharges
and combine points strategies
…makes it one of the most powerful airline loyalty programmes right now for premium travel.
Personally? I probably wouldn’t buy Avios just to boost my point balance. But if I found a specific QSuite redemption I wanted? Absolutely.
Because flying one of the BEST business class products in the world for around £1,000 instead of £4,000+ is EXACTLY the kind of “luxury for less” travel strategy I love.

Qatar Airways QSuites genuinely lives up to the hype.
And thanks to Avios, it’s become far more achievable than many people realise.
Yes, it still requires flexibility.Yes, availability can disappear quickly.
And yes, you need to understand how reward flights work. But once you do?
You suddenly realise some of the world’s BEST luxury travel experiences can cost far less than many people spend on economy flights during peak season.
