easyJet introduces Flex Pass, a little flexibility for a tenner

While we’re still waiting to see if easyJet will ever roll out a full loyalty program (and whether Flight Club is gone for good), the airline has quietly launched something new: Flex Pass.

It’s an interesting move, offering one of the benefits you’d normally expect from a frequent flyer scheme: the ability to change your flight without a fee.

This blog runs on caffeine and affiliate clicks, find your next easyJet flight below and keep me flying high!

What is Flex Pass?

Flex Pass appears during the booking process and costs £10 per passenger.

For that, you get the right to change your flight without paying easyJet’s usual change fee, up to two hours before departure.

You can amend:

  • The date or time of your flight

  • Your departure airport

  • Your arrival airport

(It’s not yet confirmed if both airports need to be in the same country.)

The fine print

As with most things in the world of low-cost flying, there are a few catches:

  • You can make only one free change per booking.

  • The change applies to everyone on the booking, you can’t just adjust one traveller’s plans.

  • You’ll still need to pay any fare difference, which could be steep close to departure.

  • If your new flight is cheaper, no refund applies.

So yes, it’s flexible… but not unlimited.

Is it worth it?

For £10, Flex Pass could be handy if you like keeping plans open, especially for short breaks, event trips, or business travel. But if you already have easyJet Plus, you’ll get stronger benefits built in, like free seat selection, cabin bags, and same-day flight changes.

Still, for occasional travellers, Flex Pass could save you a lot of stress (and change fees) when plans inevitably change.

Cabin Max Metz 30L, My EasyJet Go-To Carry onboard Bag

Size: 45 x 36 x 20 cm

This is my personal favourite. It uses every millimetre of easyJet’s free bag allowance, while still being comfortable to wear all day.

I once managed a 3-night Morocco trip with just this bag (yes, including souvenirs).

Generous 30L capacity

Padded straps = no sore shoulders

Huge range of colours and styles

4. Cabin Max Anode 40L Spinner

Size: 55 x 40 x 20 cmThis is the bag I use most when I’ve paid for a large cabin bag. Lightweight, stylish, and with 360° spinner wheels, it’s a stress-free option for airports.

Final Speedy Boarding Call

easyJet’s new Flex Pass might not be the loyalty program we’ve been hoping for, but it’s a welcome dose of flexibility for a tenner and a rare add-on that could genuinely save you money if your plans change.

Think of it as easyJet flexing its upsell muscles, just this time, you might actually get something useful in return. See you in the skies, PAUL AKA Mr Plane Guy
