How to Get to Luton Airport from London
The airport is only 35 miles north of London and connected by the Luton DART a fast automated shuttle from Luton Airport Parkway Station.
Cost: £4.90 one-way (£9.80 return)
Journey Time: Under 4 minutes
Frequency: Every few minutes, 24/7
For the full route and best-value rail tips, check out my guide to Getting from London to Luton Airport (replace with your Luton transport post once live).
Getting the Train to Luton Airport Parkway
If you’re travelling from London, the Thameslink and East Midlands Railway (EMR) services both run frequent trains to Luton Airport Parkway Station, where you can connect to the Airport.
Plane Tip: When you book your train ticket, book it ot Luton Airport and not Luton Airport Parkway and it will include the fee for the Dart Rail link.
Trains depart from London St Pancras International, Farringdon, City Thameslink, and Blackfriars, all convenient central stations.
Typical journey time: 25–40 minutes
Cost: Around £16–£24 one-way, depending on time and operator

Plane Tip: Book off-peak or advance tickets on Trainline or National Rail for the best price and remember your contactless or Oyster card works on Thameslink trains from London too.

Fast Track Security
If you hate long queues, Fast Track Security is worth every penny. I recently flew from London Luton and during a quiet Monday afternoon in October, it took me nearly 30 minutes to get through security at Luton Airport.
Price: From £4 when booked online (£8 walk-up)
Buy online: Fast Track Security – Luton Airport
Plane Tip: I would Book and use Fast Track for morning departures or school holidays, or just before Bank Holidays.
Luton Airport Lounges: No1 Lounge & My Lounge Explained
Luton Airport has two airport lounges, No1 Lounge and My Lounge, both are very recently renovated and you can get into either with your Priority Pass.
Lounges at Luton Airport
There’s no need to start your trip in the departure hall step into calm before you fly.
Enjoy drinks, snacks, and Wi-Fi before your flight. Perfect for Wizz Air, easyJet or TUI passengers.👉 Read my full review of My Lounge Luton Airport
Priority Pass Access at Luton Airport
Priority Pass gives you entry to over 1,700+ airport lounges worldwide, including of course London Luton.
Plane Tip: At Luton, your Priority Pass may also give restaurant credit at Big Smoke Taphouse & Kitchen, and Avalon Coffee, perfect for a pre-flight pint or snack.*
*Some Priority Pass memberships, especially those linked to certain credit cards include airport restaurant credits instead of (or as well as) lounge access. That means you can dine in style before your flight and get part of your bill covered.
Before you order that extra glass of wine, check the Priority Pass app to see if your membership includes this perk and which airport restaurants participate.

No1 Lounge Luton Airport offers comfortable seating, buffet snacks, and complimentary drinks, but note that it currently closes early at 13:30 during the winter low season. That means morning and midday departures can still enjoy the peace and prosecco, but afternoon travellers will need an alternative.
Your other option is My Lounge, located nearby, it’s a relaxed, social-style space that can get very busy during peak times, especially once No1 closes.
Plane Tip: Always book your lounge in advance to guarantee entry. You can easily pre-book access through the Priority Pass website or app and secure your spot before you reach the airport.
Whether you’re flying Wizz Air, easyJet, or TUI, a pre-flight lounge visit at Luton turns waiting time into downtime, with Wi-Fi, snacks, and a glass of something chilled before boarding.

Water Fountains & Eco Travel Tip
Luton Airport has free water refill stations airside. Bring a refillable water bottle through security and top up after, it’s eco-friendly and saves over £3 on bottled water.
Plane Tip: Always pack a collapsible travel bottle light, leakproof, and perfect for flights from Luton.
