Travel websites love shouting about “exclusive perks”. Most of them aren’t worth the effort.
Lastminute PRO is different, mainly because it’s free, but does it actually save money? And is it worth using as a UK traveller booking city breaks and short holidays?
Here’s the honest breakdown.

What Is Lastminute PRO?
Lastminute PRO is a free loyalty programme.
There’s no subscription fee, no trial period and no requirement to book immediately. You just create an account and you’re in.
Once signed up, PRO members can unlock:
exclusive discounts
extra perks during travel disruption
higher savings the more trips they complete
Once you’ve created an account, PRO pricing automatically applies when you search on Lastminute.com there’s nothing extra to activate. I usually check PRO prices at the same time as airline and hotel sites, especially for short-notice trips.
Is Lastminute PRO Really Free?
Yes.
No card details. No automatic upgrades. No “cancel before 30 days” tricks.
You only pay for the trips you book.

What Perks Do PRO Members Actually Get?
1️⃣ Exclusive discounts (up to 15%)
PRO members can access member-only prices on selected:
city breaks
holidays
experiences
This is especially useful in winter, when hotel pricing fluctuates daily.
2️⃣ Perks when things go wrong
Depending on your booking, PRO benefits can include:
lounge access during flight delays
free audio guides in major cities
additional support if plans change
In winter, when weather disruption is more common, these perks are genuinely useful.
3️⃣ Bigger rewards over time
Each completed trip increases your PRO level.
Higher levels unlock:
larger discounts
more perks
better offers
If you book even one or two trips a year, the savings can add up faster than you’d expect.

Is Lastminute PRO Worth It for UK Travellers?
In my view, yes, with one condition.
It’s worth it if:
you book flight + hotel packages
you take short city breaks
you travel in winter or shoulder seasons
you want convenience over micromanaging prices
It’s less useful if:
you only book flights
you always travel peak summer
you prefer booking hotels direct

Does PRO Make Packages Cheaper Than DIY?
Sometimes and often in winter.
Packages can unlock pricing you simply won’t see when booking flights and hotels separately. PRO discounts stack on top of that.
That’s why PRO works best for:
2–4 night city breaks
last-minute travel
winter trips, you may like this post Plane Luxury Escape: Winter Sun for Less

This is the point where it’s worth running a quick comparison. I’ll usually price flights and hotels separately, then check the same dates on Lastminute.com with PRO applied particularly in winter, when hotels discount hard close to arrival.
Lastminute PRO vs Booking Without an Account
Without PRO | With PRO |
Public prices | Member-only discounts |
No perks | Potential lounge access |
No progression | Better rewards over time |
Same booking effort | Same booking effort |
There’s no downside to having the account.

Plane Honest Verdict
If you’re booking a winter city break or short European trip, it’s worth checking Lastminute.com with PRO pricing turned on before you book anywhere else. It’s free, takes seconds to activate, and sometimes undercuts DIY pricing once availability tightens.
Where PRO Makes the Most Sense
I find PRO works best alongside:
winter city breaks
short European trips
flight + hotel packages
