My Favourite Singapore Hotel Mondrian Singapore Duxton Review
By Travel Expert Mr Plane Guy
During my recent trip to Singapore, I had the pleasure of staying at the newly opened Mondrian Singapore Duxton, a property that effortlessly blends art, design, and luxury. Located in the buzzing Duxton Hill area, this hotel is not just a place to sleep, it’s a destination in itself.

Average guest rating: 4.5/5 (based on various booking platforms)

The moment you walk into the lobby, you know this isn’t your average hotel. Think edgy modern art, a playful yet upscale aesthetic, and staff who are genuinely excited to welcome you. The Mondrian brand is known for being chic and stylish, and the Singapore hotel lives up to that reputation.
The Room
I stayed in a Shophouse Suite, it was stunning. High ceilings, sleek lines, and warm lighting created a space that felt both stylish and relaxing. The suite featured floor-to-ceiling windows with views over Duxton, a king-sized bed with super soft sheets, and a huge bathroom with a rainfall shower that I honestly didn’t want to leave.
Details matter here: designer furniture, tech features like blackout blinds and mood lighting controls at the touch of a button.
The Location
Duxton Hill is one of my favourite areas in Singapore – a charming mix of heritage shophouses, trendy cafes, and cool bars. Staying at the Mondrian meant I was just steps away from spots like Merci Marcel, KēSa House, and The Daily Cut. It’s central without being overly touristy, and perfect for those who want to experience the city’s modern energy with a touch of old-school charm.

Dining and Rooftop Vibes
The hotel is home to Bottega di Carna, an Italian steakhouse by celebrity butcher Dario Cecchini. The interiors are bold and theatrical, and the food? Incredible. Think beautifully marbled steaks, handmade pasta, and rich, indulgent sauces.
Upstairs, Canyon Club, the rooftop bar and pool, is a must-visit. The pool area is small but perfectly formed – with striped cabanas and views across the city skyline. I spent some time here with a cocktail in hand.
If you’re after a hotel that delivers on both style and substance, Mondrian Singapore Duxton should be high on your list. It’s luxurious without being stuffy, artistic without trying too hard, and effortlessly cool. Whether you’re in Singapore for business, a romantic escape, or just want to treat yourself, this hotel is a vibe.
Would I stay again? 100% yes.
