Located in the heart of Barcelona, right in the Raval Quarter, Ciutat Vella district. Its location couldn't be better, only a few minutes’ walk from Les Rambles

The best bits

• Roof terrace with infinity pool has spectacular views of the old quarter

• Newly renovated minimalist rooms

• Bicycles available for guest use

• An eco-friendly and sustainable conscious hotel

• I loved the shower gel in the bathroom, it wasn’t your basic shit, this was quality!

Bad bits

I didn't get to stay long enough! I will defiantly be back soon though!

If I’m really picky

• No fridges or coffeemakers in rooms

• No restaurant on-site for lunch or dinner

The Andante hotel is perfectly located in Barcelonas historic old city centre, close to the port, beach, las Ramblas.

It's mission is To offer guests high-quality, competitively-priced basic services with 4-star facilities, while ensuring sustainability and I think they truly deliver this. With recycling bins in public areas and solar panels and charging facilities for electric cars. This is a hotel that I wanted to spend time in and exploring the city of Barcelona the many attractions, bodegas and buzz of the city I wanted to go back to my hotel and chill and enjoy it!

The rooms have clearly been renovated recently with a minimal finish and dark tones, the hotel is very quiet, perhaps they have sound proofed it too?

I booked a cheap single room for less than 100 Euros This wasn't a breakfast rate as I had to check out at 0500 ugh! to make my 7am flight back to Gatwick (review here)

My room even had a cute little garden terrace with sun loungers and an outdoor shower!

The icing on the cake is the spectacular panoramic infinity pool with superb views of the city!
