TUI Airways Cuts Routes for Summer 2025

TUI Airways Cuts Routes for Summer 2025

By Flight Expert Mr Plane Guy

If you’re planning a trip next summer with TUI Airways, you might need to check your flight details! The airline is making some big changes to its 2025 schedule, cutting routes to four popular holiday destinations.

The latest updates, shared by airline schedule website Aeroroutes, reveal that flights to Greece, Spain, Turkey, and Cape Verde will be affected. Key UK airports, including London Gatwick, Birmingham, Manchester, and Bristol, will see changes to their departure schedules.

This news follows TUI’s previous announcement that flights to St Lucia, Costa Rica, and Melbourne Orlando International Airport in Florida will also be axed. But don’t worry TUI has confirmed that holiday packages to these destinations will still be available via other airlines.

Which Routes Are Affected?

Greece

TUI Airways is set to cut flights to some of Greece’s most loved islands. If you were hoping to fly to Crete, Rhodes, or Santorini, you might need to make alternative arrangements. Here’s what’s changing:

  • No more flights from Belfast International Airport to Heraklion (Crete) or Rhodes.

  • No more Santorini flights from Bristol Airport.

  • East Midlands Airport will also lose its direct flights to Santorini.

TUI Spain

  • If you were planning to fly from Manchester to Almería, you’ll need to look elsewhere. Fortunately, Ryanair still operates direct flights on this route.

TUI Turkey

  • TUI is cutting flights from Birmingham to Izmir and Bodrum.

  • No more flights to Izmir from London Gatwick or Manchester.

For those still looking to visit Turkey, airlines like easyJet, SunExpress, and Jet2 still have options available.

TUI Cape Verde

  • Flights from Bristol to Boa Vista and East Midlands to Sal will no longer be available on TUI Airways.

  • Travelers will need to depart from alternative airports to reach these sun-soaked islands.

A TUI spokesperson confirmed that these changes were planned over a year ago and that the affected routes were never actually on sale for summer 2025.
