Norse Atlantic Airways has launched its first-ever direct flight from London Gatwick to Bangkok, opening up a new low-cost link between the UK and Thailand just in time for the 2025/26 winter sun rush. The inaugural Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner touched down at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport on 27 October 2025 to a Thai-style welcome, complete with garlands, smiles, and enough cameras to rival a red-carpet event.
New Route: Gatwick to Bangkok
Operating from Gatwick’s South Terminal, the new route runs until April 2026, with up to five flights per week and fares starting around £429 return. For travellers chasing temples, tuk-tuks, and pad thai without the price tag, Norse is offering a ticket to Thailand that won’t empty your holiday fund.

🇹🇭 Thailand Rolls Out the Red Carpet for Norse Atlantic Airways
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Airports of Thailand (AOT) hosted the airline’s maiden arrival with a full Thai welcome ceremony at Suvarnabhumi Airport.Executives from both organisations presented souvenirs to arriving passengers and hailed the new connection as a milestone for British tourism.
This winter-only route is part of TAT’s strategy to attract 1.13 million UK visitors by the end of 2025, generating over 70 billion Baht in tourism revenue.Between January and October 2025 alone, more than 805,000 Brits have already made the trip, staying an average of 16 days and spending roughly 63,000 Baht per visit.

Expanding Norse Horizons
This London–Bangkok service joins a growing Norse route map that already stretches from Europe to the USA, South Africa, and now Thailand.The airline plans five seasonal routes to Bangkok and Phuket through spring 2026 all operated by its modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet.
