Mykonos Beach Hotel Review
Can You Do Mykonos on a Budget? No, Don’t Be Silly... But you can do it Smarter.
Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links. If you use them, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It helps fund my habit of flying to places like Mykonos on ridiculous budgets.

Let’s be honest: Mykonos and “budget” don’t belong in the same sentence. This is an island where cocktails cost more than short-haul flights and hotels regularly ask for a kidney and a deposit.
But if you’ve snagged a cheap flight (hello, Wizz Air 👀), the trick isn’t pretending Mykonos is cheap, it’s choosing where you spend less so you can enjoy the bits that actually matter.
That’s exactly why I stayed at Mykonos Beach Hotel. It’s not flashy. It’s not influencer-polished. But it is walkable, beachside, and far better value than most hotels this close to Mykonos Town.

Why travel to Mykonos?
One of the biggest, prettiest, and trendiest destinations in Greece, Mykonos attracts everyone from cruise passengers and partygoers to the LGBTQ+ community with its vibrant, super-cool vibe. It’s also one of the most expensive islands in Greece, making budget-friendly stays a challenge. But don’t worry, if you’re searching for a cheap hotel in Mykonos, I’ve got you covered.

Mykonos Beach Hotel
I booked my stay here through Lastminute.com and let me tell you, it was worth every penny. The location? Fantastic. It’s only a 10-minute walk to Mykonos Town, passing by charming shops and café bars along the way.
It’s also got its own little stretch of beach, Megali Ammos Beach, which was the perfect spot for a morning stroll with the sand between my toes.
The hotel managers were super friendly. My flight with Wizz Air arrived ridiculously early, and check-in wasn’t supposed to start until 12 PM. But, they let me check in at 10AM! That’s what I call good service.

How to Get from Mykonos Airport to Mykonos Town
If you’re flying into Mykonos International Airport (JMK), you have a few options for getting into Mykonos Town:
Taxi – A quick and easy way to get to town, but taxis are limited, and demand is high. Expect to pay around €20-30 for a short ride.
Bus – The cheapest option! A public bus from the airport to Mykonos Town runs regularly and costs about €2. The bus stop is just outside the terminal.
Car Rental – If you want to explore more of Mykonos, renting a car is a great option. Parking in Mykonos Town is tricky, but many hotels offer free parking (including Mykonos Beach Hotel!).
Hotel Shuttle – Some hotels offer airport transfers at an additional cost, including Mykonos Beach Hotel.
Private Transfer – If you like a hassle-free experience, book a private car transfer.
The Rooms at Mykonos Beach Hotel
These rooms are simple, clean, and very Greek. White walls, decent storage, reliable Wi-Fi. No smart lighting. No rainfall showers. No scented towels and honestly? That’s fine.
You’re in Mykonos. You should be outside.
The balcony views, though, genuinely excellent. Watching the sea with a morning coffee almost makes you forget how much Mykonos costs.

What I would say is the balcony and views were spectacular!

Top 5 Things to Do in Mykonos
Explore Mykonos Town – Wander through its charming white-washed streets and get lost in the beauty.
Visit the Windmills – Iconic Mykonos landmarks, perfect for a sunset snap.
Watch the Sunset at Little Venice – Grab a cocktail and enjoy the view.
Take a Boat to Delos Island – A UNESCO World Heritage Site with amazing ruins.
Party at Cavo Paradiso – One of the most legendary nightclubs in Mykonos.
Best Bits at Mykonos Beach Hotel
The Infinity Pool – Stunning views over the Aegean Sea (or is it the Mediterranean? Answers on a postcard!)
Friendly, family-run atmosphere
Walking distance to Mykonos Town
Budget-friendly compared to other Mykonos hotels
I recently used a Jack’s Flight Club alert to book a £50 flight from London to Mykonos, you can read the full breakdown here.
The Not-So-Good Bits
Basic rooms – If you’re after an ultra-modern, Insta-worthy suite, this isn’t it.
Lots of steps – Not great for those with mobility issues.
Limited hotel facilities – No gym, no fancy spa, but hey, at this price, who’s complaining?

Plane Tip: This Hotel is perfect for Solo travellers, or as a base if you wanted to explore Mykonos,
Final Boarding Call
I honestly wished I had stayed longer at Mykonos Beach Hotel. It’s perfect for solo travelers, couples, or budget-conscious visitors who want to be near Mykonos Town without staying in the thick of it.
If you’re after a hotel with an infinity pool, great location, and friendly vibes, this is it. If you’re after ultra-luxury with butler service, keep looking.
