How I Travelled Business Class on Qatar Airways For Less Than £250: Qatar Airways Business Class Flight Review
Discover how I managed to fly Business Class with Qatar Airways for under £250 (£246 to be exact!) That's correct, the upgrade to business class cost only an additional £246!
Below is a detailed review of my experience flying Business Class with the prestigious 5-star airline, Qatar.
After a bit of research I found that Qatar airways fly from Doha to Krabi in Thailand and booking the flights and accommodation separately turned out to be a great deal. Whats more on the sector from Bangkok back to Manchester Business class was just around £800 more!
So I thought I would be spending much of the week in Thailand excited for the flight home as I had heard nothing but amazing things about Qatar Airways business class product. However I didn’t have to wait as it happened I was emailed by Qatar offering an upgrade deal from Doha to Krabi in business class,
We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to upgrade your seat: Economy to Business Class on flight QR 0824 from Doha to Krabi at a special price of GBP 246 per person. This exclusive offer is available on a first come first served basis ...
Thats right Business Class on the 5 star airline Qatar for just £246
MAN-DOH
Economy
Qatar economy surpassed my expectations, a super comfortable seat with adjustable headrest. Great entertainment and delicious food. The service was non stop! The best economy product I have experienced on a long haul flight.
I flew out of Manchester on the shiny "new car smelling" A350, on time and it was a really great experience.
Connecting in Doha was super easy, efficiently coached from our arrival stand and dropped off right back into the departure lounge. After enjoying an arabic coffee, It was time to board the 787 for Krabi this time sat at the front “turning left”.
DOH-KBI
Business Class
Qatar’s hard product is very polished and feels like a brand new car (maybe an Merc or an Audi?) very sleek and it felt really wonderful!
Again amazing service with the crew and supervisor both introducing themselves. I totally felt spoilt and pampered.
After enjoying the inflight meal I then relaxed and managed around 3 hours sleep, my only slight complaint was that breakfast was served 3 hours before landing! Now the flight itself was only 7 hours. In my previous life as crew I understand the timing of services however 3 hours before is a little bit unnecessary.
BKK-DOH-MAN
The lounge in Bangkok was totally amazing!
Now when selecting our seats for the BKK-DOH sector it showed pictures of quite dated business class product however when we boarded it was the newest product the Q Suite.
This business class seat was amazing, a private screened off seat, it really had a private jet feel about it. Again consistently high polished service delivered during the flight.
The only problem was then connecting in Doha for the last leg back to the UK, this was on the 787 and back to the herringbone style seat.
This now felt like a slight down grade still a thoroughly great flights only tiny issues they didn’t have my first choice in starter available, which I was over by the time I touched down back into Manchester.
Overall such amazing flights and product and I would highly recommend this 5 star airline. So thats how I flew business class on Qatar Airways for just an extra £246!
