Lounge Review I Plaza Premium Airport Lounge London Gatwick North Terminal

Is this one of the BEST Airport Lounges at London Gatwick?

Situated at Londons second busiest Airport Gatwick, specifically in the North terminal, this terminal is where EasyJet, Emirates, Qatar, Tui and a handful of other airlines are based at Gatwick.

You will locate the lounge, among all the Airport Lounges at Gatwick North terminal, while heading towards gates 45-54 and 101-107. Simply walk past the WH Smiths, look for an entrance to several lounges on your right, take the lift upstairs, and you will find the reception area.

I stayed for around an hour and a half but you can stay up to two hours, this is what is included;

  • Complimentary buffet food menu

  • free alcoholic soft and hot drinks

  • Wifi

  • newspapers and magazines

Did I tell you that I get reduced airport lounges with my bank account? For a fee, my account comes with access to Lounge Key, you download the app and then scan it to get in and a charge is taken from your account! It was super easy, no waiting around here. You just walk straight in to the Plaza Premium lounge.

What really struck me was the posh and fancy decor. I had a strange sense of déjà vu. Turns out, this lounge used to be Virgin Atlantic's spot at London Gatwick. They bid adios to Gatwick in 2020 leaving their operation to focus on London Heathrow - all due to the pandemic, anyone remember?

Virgin Atlantic have totally nailed the lounge game with their chic designs! This spot was so sophisticated and really up to date with different sections and cozy seating, all bathed in glorious natural light and boasting epic views of the runway!

I popped by at 3 PM on a Sunday smack bang in the middle of Easter School holidays. Surprisingly, the place wasn't that busy, loads of room to stretch out, and zero queues in sight.

The lounge was exceptionally tidy, with staff who were genuinely engaging and pleasant. I sat myself in this corner bonkette with marble table, judging people as they walked past before I enjoyed my EasyJet flight in 26F.

Here is a video of my review if you prefer?

Don't forget to hit the follow!

A plethora of drinks awaited, featuring exquisite wines, sadly no champagne, but fear not, I kicked things off with an Aperol Spritz. They even boast self-service beer taps and water fountains of course.

Theirs also a soft play area at the side of the lounge away rom the main part for children to enjoy, with fridges of dinks for them.

The food was scrumptious, and the staff kept busy refreshing and tidying up the selection.

  • Soup

  • Salad bar

  • Mac and cheese

  • Curry

  • Sandwhiches

  • lots of ou derves

  • Patats Bravas

  • Cakes

The Plaza Premium Lounge Gatwick is open daily from 04:00 until 20:00 (Last entry at 19:00)

The verdict

I suggest visiting this lounge; it truly made me feel pampered! Undoubtedly, it's one of my favorite places in the world. Well, maybe it's one of my top spots in the North Terminal at Gatwick.

However I also enjoyed EasyJet's Lounge also located in Gatwick North Terminal.

Have you heard that EasyJet has an airport lounge at Gatwick? I'll include the tag here.
