Yes.
BA Euroflyer offers a good short-haul product from Gatwick, with slightly more generous baggage allowances than the likes of easyJet and Ryanair etc, Avios earning opportunities and access to Club Europe.

Routes British Airways Has Recently Dropped From Gatwick
British Airways has reduced its long-haul Gatwick network in recent years, with several routes either moving to Heathrow or being withdrawn entirely.

Aruba | Route withdrawn from the BA network in March 2025. |
Cape Town | Moved from Gatwick to Heathrow in January 2025. |
Las Vegas | Gatwick flights ended in October 2025. Now served from Heathrow. |
New York JFK | Gatwick flights ended in October 2025. Now served from Heathrow. |
San José (Costa Rica) | Gatwick flights ended in March 2026. Route transferred to Heathrow. |
Tampa | Gatwick flights due to end in October 2026. Route will operate from Heathrow instead. |
Why is this happening?
British Airways is increasingly focusing long-haul operations at Heathrow, where it can offer more flights, better onward connections and greater flexibility. While Gatwick remains an important base for BA Euroflyer and leisure routes, Heathrow is now the airline's primary long-haul hub.
If you're searching for an old British Airways Gatwick route and can't find it, check Heathrow before assuming the destination has been dropped completely. Several former Gatwick routes are now operating from Heathrow instead.

Club Europe is British Airways' short-haul business class product.
